New: Vintage Artsy!

I found an old necklace of my grandma's that my mom had. It was one of those really long ones, that your supposed to wrap around a few times. Well it was broken, so I thought I'd take just a few piece's of that vintage necklace and make something new with it.

the brass chain is what I got from the old necklace


The center piece is Swarovski, along with the green crystals there on the sides with the pearls. Better put you sunglasses on if your going to wear it outside, this baby can shine. ;)

This bracelet carries on the same feel and look,

With all warm colors, and chain softy woven through it, it's a very comfy and laid back and fun piece.


This ones almost abstract, but still pleasing to look at :)

I'm working on making the first dress for my new line of clothing! I've only got half the mock up made right now.
Would you like to see sneaky peek?

It's waistband is made up of introverted box pleats. It should come to right above the knee. The real one is going to be made out of silver silk. This one's just muslin. The top half is still up in the air, there are so many options! More pic's to come, and in just a few months, you'll get to see the finished piece!

Well, it's been way to long since I've posted on here, my apologizes!

I think I have news that will make up for my long absence. Are you ready to hear this? Make sure that your not operating heavy equipment and sit down a while...........

Rivers & Co will be launching a new Clothes Line for the Fall season!!!!
Yes indeed, I'm not sure of the details just yet. But it will be gorgeous. If I do say so ;) I'm thinking we'll do a few formal dresses, a blouse or two, and some fun skirts to start things off!
I'm letting you guy's know first here on the Behind the scenes blog. I'll do an official launch for the line on Riversandco.com.

When I was making this pendant, I wasn't really going for a theme. But half way through, I noticed that it looked like the Moon and Stars!

This is a Copper and pearl necklace.

All the pic's were taken on a tree stump in my back yard! It had a really cool looking fungi looking thing on it. Looked like snow in some of the other photos I took!

This is a pair of Sterling Silver chain and pink Swarovski earrings.

They are approximately 1' 1/2' long. The Swarovski crystals are 3mm and are a sort of Hyacinth pink with clear AB Swarovski's on the ear wire.

Twintastic Creations Etsy Shop

Hello all,

I wanted to let you know about a new thing I'm going to be doing fairly often.

I've been hearting quite a few Etsy shops here lately, and i thought I'd share them with you!

This week I'm blogging about Twintastic Creations.

Not only did they make a fun new word, but they made some pretty sweet little totes too!

Twintastic Creations is a business that two identical twins started a few months back on Facebook. And now they've decided to bring their cute totes to Etsy!

Here are some of my favorites, and a little bit more about their shop.

Each tote is 13X13" and is made out of all kinds of cute fabrics. Each tote is lined with thin batting and fabric to keep it sturdy, so it won't collapse when you set it down. Each tote comes with a matching drawstring bag to store small items. These totes are very versatile, they work great as a purse, book bag, craft bag, or even a diaper bag!

Some of my favorite things.

As a designer I sometimes get asked "What's your favorite thing?" or stone, or piece of jewelry.
I try to answer them as well as I can on the spot but, there's so many beautiful things out there! It's hard to narrow it down.

For this post I'll show you some of my favorite things.

#1. Pearl's!

I have yet to find a pearl I don't like.

#2. Sterling Silver!

Sterling Silver has a Chic quality about it that Gold or even Platinum doesn't have.

#3. Swarovski Crystals!

No, that's not a piece of jewelry. But it's still so beautiful!

Swarovski Crystals are the highest quality Crystal available.

#4. Labradorite!

With most stones you have to polish them before they will shine. But with the Labradorite, you can just pull it out of the ground and use it.

When it catches the light, it's truly beautiful.

#5. Aquamarine!

Aquamarine, with the right cut, it will shine like a Diamond.

#6. Sea Coral!

Coral, It proves that we will go to the ends of the earth, or in this case the depths of the ocean, to bring you the very best.

Well, that's just the few I could remember.
